Rivertown created 3 courses for SVIN, with input from their medical experts.

“Basic Stroke Emergency Support” including content on Basic Anatomy, Statistics, & Types of Strokes, Risk Factors, Signs & Symptoms, BE FAST, EMS, & Detection Scales, Treatment Options & Methods for Improving Stroke Outcomes.

“Advanced Stroke Emergency Support” including content on Types of Stroke & Risk Factors, Prehospital Triage, Stroke Detection Scales, Warning Signs & Symptoms, Stroke Severity Scales, Treatment Options, Bypass & Transfer Protocols.

“Advanced Stroke Emergency Support Emergency Department” including content on the Risk & Benefits of IV Alteplase, Transfer Algorithms, Data on TPA, and Stroke Mechanisms.

In addition to the important content related to Stroke detection, Rivertown included instructional animations and videos to assist in evaluating the severity of a stroke. All of the courses are tracked with an LMS, and Rivertown also provided Spanish versions of the ASES-ED course.

The Society of Vascular and interventional Neurology (SVIN) is based in Washington D.C. and represents the advancement of interventional neurology as a field with the ultimate goal of improving clinical care and outcomes of patients with stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. The ultimate client for our training is Doctors, EMTs, medical staff and the public who may be called on to assist the victim of a stroke.

Fire Fighters, Police Officers, Paramedics, Emergency Department personnel, Physicians, Nurses, Emergency Medical Technicians, First Responders, Healthcare Workers, Hospital Personnel, and The General Public.
